Hanna Leah Pasudag is Miss Fitrum 2008

Hanna Leah Pasudag, a 21-year old morena (dusky) beauty from Davao, bested other 25 contestants in the finals of Miss Fitrum 2008 beauty and body contest of the hit noontime show Wowowee aired on January 17 at ABS-CBN, a giant Philippine broadcasting network. Pasudag was also adjudged earlier as Miss Telegenic.

My research shows that Pasudag is a veteran of beauty pageants, competing at the first-ever Miss Bikini Philippines held at the PICC Plenary Hall last May 2008 where she lost. Winners of this search will represent the Philippines to the Miss Bikini World in Europe and Miss Bikini International in China. She also joined a beauty search of a department store in Davao in 2006 where she was a finalist and won as Miss Close-up Smile.

While I personally prefer 1st runner-up (Contestant No. 9), whom I found more refreshing and more of a star material than Pasudag, to win, I do not have objections with the latter grabbing the crown. I also like her --- albeit, second best. The judges, led by Mr. Johnny Manahan of Star Magic, may have chosen Pasudag because of her color, fit body and the answer she gave to the uniform question in the final round of Top 4.

Fitrum, the contest sponsor, is said to be a brand of fat-burning, weight-reducing, health-boosting capsule derived from highly purified extract of green tea.

Pasudag takes home as prizes Php 500,000, a brand new car, trip for two to Singapore and a contract under Star Magic, the network's talent and management program. Expect Pasudag to be the new co-host of the show soon; and who knows, as leading lady to such famous film and TV hearthtrobs as Piolo Pascual, John Lloyd Cruz, Jericho Rosales and Sam Milby?
